.45 Colt caliber, 5 1/2″ barrel, blue and casehardened finish with U.S. inspected walnut grip. Mixed numbers with the frame 11144. U.S. inspector’s stamps appear on the appropriate parts and the barrel ins r.a.c. inspected on the bottom. The grip showing the inspector’s stamp for Odus C. Horney (O.C.H.) on the left side and (r.a.c.) on the bottom. In very fine original condition with the barrel showing mostly a pleasing gunmetal gray patina. The cylinder has generous blue in the flutes and protected areas. The back of the cylinder bears correct “K” inspector’s stamp. The frame still retains considerable caseharden finish. Areas of bright blue remain on the upper area of the backstrap and protected areas of the triggerguard. Very nice grips with good, visible inspections. Good bore. Mechanically excellent.
