Newton .256 No. 1 caliber, 22″ barrel marked “R.G. OWEN – NEWTON .256 # 1”  Built on a Springfield 1903 action with a quick detachable side mount marked “PAUL JAEGER, JENKINSTOWN, PA” .  Lavishly engraved by Alvin White with three beautiful gold inlays, triggerguard, floorplate, and lowertang.  The action is fully engraved in semi-relief scroll that continues 8″ out on the barrel and picks up again at the muzzle.  Beautiful Owen stock work ending with a checkered steel butplate.  Topped by a Leopold & Stevens 2 1/2x scope.
