.44 magnum, 6 1/2″ barrel with red front sight insert.  Four screw pre-model 29, serial range S173xxx.   Mfg. 1957.   In excellent original condition with some minor highlighting on the front of the cylinder edges and on both side of the muzzle, most likely from holster wear.  Excellent coke-bottle grips.  Mechanically excellent with solid lock-up and showing on light evidence of use.  In the original black factory wooden box.
