.30 U.S. carbine, 18″ barrel and marked “UNDERWOOD/1-44/ over the bursting bomb” near the muzzle.   “L” sight with low wood  and the U.S. inspector’s cartouche on the left buttstock flat.  In superb original condition retaining nearly all of the finish on the metal, excellent wood, and mint bore.  Accompanied by it’s correct sling and oiler.  Serial range 2668xxx.
