.40 1-7/8″ (40-70) Sharps straight caliber.  26″ round barrel with windgauge – spirit level front sight, standard mid-barrel ladder sight, and short range tang sight.  Checkered forend and pistol grip buttstock ending with a factory horn buttplate.  Casehardened falling block action, lever actuated.   This is most likely the best original condition example extant, retaining 99% blue, 99% case colors, with superb wood and varnish.  Mint bore.  One of only 153 mfg.
