.45-70 caliber, 32 5/8″ barrel, trapdoor single shot action.  Full length walnut stock bear the U.S. inspector’s cartouche on the left side, dated “1889”.  In as new, unissued original condition retainging 99% original blue, vivid case colors on the breechblock dated “1884”.  Lock and mounts showing all of the original blue.  Mint bore.  The wood remains in very near mint condition with a perfect cartouche and only the most minor of storage marks.  This would be difficult to upgrade.
