.65 caliber, 8″ part octagon cannon turned brass barrel secured with pins.   Convex brass lock plate marked “BRANDER” under the pan.  Brass mounts that include ramrod pipe, triggerguard, side plate depicting a stand of arms and masked butt.  Full length walnut stock.  In superb original condition with the brass retaining an even medium patina.  Excellent wood that appears to be free of damage and repairs.  Mechanically excellent.  Of very high quality.  Brander worked from 1690-1750.
