30 bore (.563″) caliber, 28″ octagon twist steel barrel with folding leaf rear sight. Back action engraved lock with bolted safety and engraved “DAVID GASS”. Beautiful straight grip stock, checkered at the wrist. I stunning original condition with the barrel retaining all of the original brown, the lock and hammer with all of the casehardened finish. The game scene engraved triggerguard has all of the original charcoal blue, the buttplate showing some flaking on the flat area. The game scene engraved buttstock tang retaining all of the charcoal blue. Mint multi groove rifled bore. In it’s original case with accessories and early nappy baize lining. The maker’s label is in the lid. This is one of the best, early percussion sporting rifles I have seen.
