.44 S&W Russian caliber,  10 1/2 part octagon and fluted barrel.  Side lever tip-up action with stepped side lock and external  rebounding hammer .  Keyed forend.  Very finely checkered grip with spur triggerguard and ending with a casehardened & engraved buttcap.  Micro groove rifled barrel.  The barrel retains nearly all of the original high polish blue.  The engraved lock, breech, hammer and buttcap have 100% original case colors.  Beautiful wood and checkering.
