9mm caliber, 5″ barrel and marked (P 38 / ac/42″ on the left side of the slide.  Finished blue with all of the appropriate markings and all of the numbers are matching.  Correct magazine.  In very fine original condition showing evidence of being issued but retaining much of the finish.  The grips show moderate wear it is mechanically excellent.
