6.5×52 mm Carcano caliber.  18″ barrel, finished blue with fixed box magazine.   These carbines were built as alterations from the standard 1891 service rifle between 1929-1938.  This example appears unissued.   There are many variations of T.S. carbines and this appears to be a later model.
