.44-40 W.C.F. caliber, 7″ barrel, six shot double action with folding hammer spur.  Birds head grip with checkered hardrubber grips.   Finished blue with casehardened trigger & hammer.   In superb original condition retaining considerable bright blue overall with the remainder showing some light thinning most likely from being in a holster.  Mint bore, and mechnically excellent.   Hopkins & Allen mfg. and marked “CALIBRE /WINCHESTER 1873 ” on the left side of the frame.   Blue finish Merwin Hulbert revolvers are very scarce and rarely seen in this high condition.
