.31 caliber, 3″ octagon barrel, 5 shot single action with external hammer. Casehardened receiver with the barrel and cylinder blue. Trigger guard silver plated. Gutta percha grips. Retaining much of the original finish and in it’s original factory box with flask, two cavity mold, and combo ramrod-cleaning rod all excellent. Mint bore, mechanically sound. There is a hand written inscription on the inside of the lid. It appears to read: “Grandma Ellis carried while living in Marshall ?” Mfg 1857-58.
