.40-50  (1 7/8″) 30″ heavy full octagon barrel.  Open sights, plain forend and checkered pistol grip buttstock ending with a metal buttplate.   Side lever falling block action.   The barrel retains much of the original blue, the receiver’s mottled case colors that have turned a pleasing gray.  Nice wood and good checkering showing minor evidence of use.  Nice bright bore.
