The front base sight is integral with the rib and includes a blade, folding ivory night sight, and a folding sight protector. Stippled top section of the Mauser action receiver ring. Jeweled bolt with an Ebony handle and the “SAFE” marking is inlaid in gold. Hinged floorplate. Beautiful checkered walnut stock with ebony forend cap, horn pistol grip cap and English type leather covered pad. LOP: 14 3/4″ with 1/4″ of cast off. Retaining all of the blue, mint bore and mechanically excellent. The stock showing a minimum of handling or use with perfect checkering. Manufactured in 1924, the factory record show it made for E. John Branders. Accompanying the rifle is a quantity brass, bullets, and loaded rounds. This a very desirable rifle and difficult to find in excellent condition. A copy of the factory ledger and a letter from Westley Richards accompanies the rifle.
