.45-70 caliber, 32 5/8″ barrel with the integral sliding rod bayonet located underneath.   Casehardened  breechblock dated “1884”.   Full length walnut stock with scarce pistol grip addition and bearing the U.S inspector’s cartouche and dated “1892” .  In very fine original condition showing much of the original finish with some fading of the barrel blue and mottling of the breechblock’s case colors.  Very sharp wood and stampings.  Accompanied by it’s correct leather sling.  The stock is marked  “13NY”
