.22 short rimfire, 28″ barrel with full length grooved forend secured by a single band. Low wall falling block action with Lyman adjustable rear sight. Straight grip buttstock ending with a metal buttplate. The barrel retains most of the original blue. The frame has blue mixing with brown from flaking. Very nice wood and excellent bore. U.S. Ordnance stampings are present on the uppertang. These were contracted by the U.S. Army for training purposed until replaced with the Springfield model 1922 bolt action rifle.
