.44-40 caliber, 30″ full octagon barrel with blade front sight and standard rear. Thumb print sliding dust cover secured by a rail. Lever action finished blue with external hammer. Single set trigger. Plain walnut forend and straight grip buttstock ending with a crescent buttplate with ramrod trap. The barrel showing a smooth and pleasing brown patina having sharp edges and good “Kings Patent” for 1860 legend. The receiver showing the same even patina with some blue mixing in. Lever and hammer with only traces of case color remaining. Nice wood with some handling marks and free of damage or repairs. It should be noted that the serial number is missing on the lower tang mostly likely due to it being replaced to accommodate the single trigger. Excellent bright bore. Mechanically sound.
