.69 caliber, 44 3/4″ barrel secured by three bands with retaining springs including the 1777 upgrade to the rear band spring.   Flintlock stamped “Maubeuge / Manuf. R”  under the pan.  1866 pattern stock and buttplate, button ramrod, and original sling swivels.   In very fine original condition with the metal showing an even, pleasing patina with smooth surfaces and crisp stampings.   Excellent wood with some handling marks from use and without any apparent repairs.  Mechanically excellent.
