.43 Spanish caliber, 33″ barrel secured by two bands and ladder elevation rear sight. Casehardened lever actuated falling block action with side hammer. Full length plain forend and straight grip buttstock bearing the small cartouche on the left side. “V” under the crown barrel and receiver proofs indicating that is was most likely captured by the Germans during the Franco Prussian War. The barrel showing nearly all of the original blue. Excellent case colors on the lock, hammer, and receiver. Very nice wood with only minor storage marks. Mint bore.
