.45-70  caliber, 30″ heavy octagon barrel, casehardened falling block hammerless action, lever activated.   Plain forend and buttstock ending with a factory checkered steel buttplate.  In very fine original condition with the barrel retaining nearly all of the blue.  The receiver is showing a very pleasing mottled gray with crisp stampings.  Very nice wood and varnish with some light handling marks from use.  Nice bright bore.  Weight 11lbs.
